Our Concerns

Afghanistan is ruined by war in the past twenty-two years. Along with the massive losses of lives and destruction, the country faces a devastated, unbalanced natural environment and degraded ecosystems.

Extensive deforestation, soil erosion, desertification and environmental contamination have lead to further poverty, epidemic proportion of diseases, rapid disappearance of native fauna and flora.

At present, Afghanistan is the poorest country in the world with no public infrastructure and functioning social system to respond to this crisis.

It is the duty of all concerned world citizens to promote and help the people of Afghanistan to adopt effective measures in conservation of their natural resources, including wildlife habitat. This requires three contemporaneous steps: (1) education, (2) research and (3) action with nature.
